Let the baking begin!
Hey All and Welcome! I’m so excited that you are here as I begin a new adventure and launch my baking blog.
My background
Years ago I was content baking for my family and friends. Now after years of baking I am ready to share with you the tips, tools and techniques I use to make cakes, treats and desserts.
I am a passionate baker who is inspired to make cakes, desserts and treats that look good but above all must “taste great on the plate”.
Doing my homework
I’m self-taught and I bake a lot. I’ve learned by baking my way through countless recipes from cookbooks, magazines, TV, and the internet.
I’ve been known to take treats to work. I ask people what they liked, didn’t like and more importantly “why”. This helps me determine which are the best recipes and understand personal preferences. Happy Wednesday! (A reference I’ll explain later.)
Baking, no judgments
It’s a baking blog so of course I will be sharing with you many of my go-to recipes. You’ll notice that I have several chocolate cakes, several buttercreams, several brownies, and several chocolate chip cookies. I don’t have a single favorite, I have groups of favorites. Each of my go-to’s has something different about it that makes it a good one.
Get ‘er done
I didn’t get to the launch of this blog without having a lot of support. At the top of that list are my husband Luis and my salsa sister Karla Mae. Thanks so much!
